Four Food on Friday

A day early for , but I don't want to forget. :)

#1. Melon. What’s your favorite kind?
I don't like any kind of melon, actually. I couldn't tell you why, I just don't.
#2. Orange citrus. What’s your favorite - oranges, nectarines, navel oranges, tangerines, etc.
Mmmmm...probably nectarines. I love all of them, though.
#3. Oreos. What kind is your favorite? (Don’t eat Oreos? What about olives?)
Oreos - Double Stuf all the way. :) Olives - any kind, but I'm currently obsessing over green olives.
#4. Pot pie. Share a recipe. (No pot pie recipe? What about a casserole or some other hot meal you bake?)
I love pot pie, but I don't think I have a recipe! Here's another casserole that I made on Sunday and my husband and our friend loved.

Primavera Ravioli Bake
from Betty Crocker's Quick-to-Fix Casseroles, February, 2005

1 bag (25 oz) frozen Italian sausage-filled ravioli
1 bag (14 oz) frozen broccoli florets
1/2 c chopped, drained, roasted red bell pepper
1 jar (1 lb) Alfredo past sauce
3/4 c milk
1/2 t Italian seasoning
1 c Parmesan croutons; crushed

Layer frozen ravioli on the bottom of a 9x13 casserole dish. Top with remaining ingredients (except croutons) and toss together. Bake for 50 minutes at 350°. Top with croutons and bake 10-15 minutes more.

Double Stuff Oreos. Mmmm! Looks like a good recipe too!

Seems like I'm in the minority on the Oreos. I think the original have just the right amount of
"stuff"

My kids have never much liked watermelon either. To me, it just doesn't seem like a picnic or summertime unless we cut up a watermelon.

That recipe looks really good. I would replace the broccoli with another veggie, only because I don't care for it.

I bet spinach or peas would work well. :)

Your recipe sounds good!
(You asked about the Fillo Dough. It's much easier using a spray olive oil bottle.)
