Ode to Boredom

Ode to Boredom

 

My mouse rambles aimlessly on my mousepad
It has no direction, no where to go.
It randomly clicks hither and yon,
Trying to find something for me to do.

 

It scurries and scrambles,
Desperately looking.
With no internet, blogs, emails,
Where can it take me to find something to do?

 

First to games, what is there?
Minesweeper frustrates me,
Solitaire grows old quickly.
Pinball would do.

 

The newness of that quickly wears off.
There must be something!
Perhaps some creative writing
Will allow the weary mouse a small break.
